„Endodontic Therapy“- What does it mean?
The best dental treatment for patients.
Most modern treatment concepts in conjunction with up to date high-technology enable more successful treatment outcome.
Scientific advancements in dentistry assure the best possible dental treatment for patients.
The Greek words endo (ἔνδον ) and odont (ὀδόντος) when put together mean the inside of the tooth. Endodontics is therefore concerned with the treatment of the tooth’s interior.
What is so hard about root-canal treatment?
The tooth’s root-canal system is comparable to the roots of a tree, and is composed of a set of branches, some of which can be no wider than a human hair. Traditional endodontic practice only treats the main branches, as the finer elements cannot be observed or reached without deploying a surgical microscope. This can result in new or persistent disease developing after traditional root-canal treatment, and may ultimately result in the tooth loss.

Bacterial colonization.
Incomplete root-canal fillings:
Broken dental files that remain in the root.
Overly widened root-canals which weaken the tooth.
Jawbone inflammation caused by infected root-canals.
Destruction of a root due to improper preparation for a post.
Filling material leaking into the jawbone, resulting in inflammation.
